Bourbon Barrel-aged Marshal Zhukov's

Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout

Did you know?

This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II. Aged in white oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon whiskey, this formidable stout’s dark chocolate flavor and espresso-like roastiness is balanced by flavors of vanilla and a subtle smokiness from extensive barrel aging.

Bourbon Barrel-aged Marshal Zhukov's

Tasting Notes

Aromas of molasses and dark chocolate are accented on the nose by vinous alcohol and rustic wood notes. Baker’s chocolate and fudge flavors give way to vanilla créme and espresso on the palate while strong bourbon accents and texture are accentuated by assertive, herbaceous hop flavor and bitterness.
