Five hundred and four years ago Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon first set foot on an unexplored land he called “La Florida”, a name that nodded to the lush flora of the alien land and to the Easter holiday (Pascua Florida to Spaniards) during which he landed. Floridians now honor Ponce de Leon’s discovery every April 2nd on Pascua Florida day, a state-wide holiday that celebrates discovery, springtime and the divergent cultures that make Florida a truly singular culture.

Brewed on April 2nd and inspired by our favorite Hoppy Pilsners, Pascua Pilsner boasts 100% German-malted barley and an assertive hop profile of herbal, spicy flavors conferred by Hallertauer Mittelfruh and Styrian Bobek hops in the kettle and a generous helping of Hallertauer as a dry-hop. German lager yeast helps to create a dry, crisp and pleasantly complex pilsner that’s a perfect herald for springtime in Florida.

Tasting Notes

A classic pilsner boasting a clean, minerally nose with flavor notes of fresh cut grass, cracker-like malt and a touch of black pepper. Lagered to add a dry, crisp character to the beer, it's snappy bitterness and high carbonation make it a perfect foil to a warm Florida springtime.
